Education of the Registered Respiratory Therapist
  • Becoming a R.R.T
    • Nationally accredited three-year intensive program at College of the North Atlantic. There are also other programs throughout Canada.
    • Comprehensive training in areas such as science, pharmacology, anatomy, physiology and cardio-pulmonary diagnostics
    • Development of highly advanced technical skills and including specialized skills and clinical training
    • Upon graduation students are eligible to take a national exam which leads to the credential Registered Respiratory Therapist.

  • Post Graduate Studies
    • Available to R.R.T's through other educational institutions which allow for further studies in areas such as anesthesia and neonatal care
    • Baccalaureate Programs are available for R.R.T's e.g. Bachelor of Technology at Memorial University of Newfoundland
